The Haut Poitou appellation, located on a vast plateau north-west of Poitiers, offers a range of structured wines and great aromatic power. IGP Val de Loire, which extends in Vienne department, offers a range of fresh and fruity wines.

The appellation Haut Poitou and IGP Val de Loire suggest you to discover Seuilly depending on the medieval city of Mirebeau. A walk in nature on one of the last chalky hills of the saumurois awaits you with a breathtaking view of the vineyard, the plains of field crops, and the surrounding castles.

You begin the walk to the chapel of Seuilly of the fifteenth century, then you walk along the woods and vineyards to stop in the shade of a walnut tree. You enjoy a selection of white wines while enjoying the explanations of the winemakers on the appellation Haut Poitou and IGP Val de Loire.

The walk continues in the heart of the vinyard with a view of the vines and the crops of Mirebeau. You arrive at the fountain of Bertaude for your second break. We tell you the story of the fountains that surround the hill Mirebeau rich heritage. You will enjoy rosés of different cuvées, with homemade bites.

The walk takes you to your third stop where you enjoy a breathtaking view of the vineyard, the plains and its castles. A tasting of red wines awaits you with gastronomic specialties of the region. On the way back to the village, you cross Ebène, Poitou donkey, then a demonstration of tillage by horses of the local breed Trait Poitevin is offered in the vineyards.

At the end of your walk, the winemakers welcome you to the VVR village. At the rhythm of a music band animating the village, you can eat at night with the meal trays to book at the tourist office.
