Saumur Puy-Notre-Dame is a very young appellation - born in 2008, which tinges with its well-marked character the vineyards of Saumur. About sixty producers are active in defending the soils that are conducive to giving the Cabernet Franc a delicate,

This year, the Saumur Puy-Notre-Dame appellation joins Vignes Vins Randos and offers you a hike in the vineyards, with a panoramic view from the small hill of Puy-Notre-Dame. The winemakers take you to discover the history of the vineyard, its geology and its wines.

Itinerary :

1. Leaving the village of Puy-Notre-Dame, you start the walk in the vines. Enjoy a view of the vineyard and the village of Montreuil-Bellay until the arrival at the first tasting place. In the shelter of a large holm oak, you taste the wines of the appellation with homemade bites.

2. After this break, you continue to survey the vines to see the village of Sanziers, halfway up the hill of Puy-Notre-Dame. You walk along the forest, continuing the hike in the vineyards of Haut Buard. A second break is needed, where you can enjoy wines from the appellation in the heart of the vines in the shade of cherry trees.

3. The hike continues and offers a view of the village of Chavannes. You take a path that winds through the heart of the vineyards to reach the third stop with a view of the Notre Dame collegiate dating back to the 11th century. This is an opportunity to know the collegiate history and the mushroom chimneys that are around you, while enjoying a new food and wine pairing.

On your return, you head to the VVR village to prolong this moment of conviviality with the winemakers!

Food trucks will propose you fouées and other traditional French food for lunch.
You can buy wines and local products tasted during the walk. Inflatable games and a music group offer a convivial and festive atmosphere.
