LES NOUVEAUTES VVR 2019

Educate yourself with VVR !

This year we offer 17 walks in the vines to help you discover the vineyard and its wines and enjoy a new vine experience!

In the program :

  • The holi ride: celebrate the arrival of the harvest. VVR organizes, on some last departures, a colored walk (colored powder), in reference to the holi Indian festival which celebrates the good harvests. Remember to bring a white t-shirt.
  • The school of vines: learn to taste. VVR sets up tasting initiation workshops in the open air. These workshops, available on some VVR villages, are proposed before or after your walks. On paid registrations (limited places), they are reserved for the participants of the excursions and the adults over 18 years old.
  • Geo-sensory tasting: awaken your senses. Supervised by the students of ESTHUA on 6 walks, these tastings allow all participants to understand the link between the terroir and the wines.
  • VVR Adventure for Kids: A new activity booklet will help kids learn and have fun all day long.

Hikes that are renewed again!

17 hikes are proposed this year with 3 new appellations that join the event:
  • Saumur-puy-notre-dame: a young appellation-born in 2008, which gives its character to the vineyards of the Saumur. Characteristic terroirs and conducive to give the Cabernet Franc grape a delicate silhouette, chiseled, deep and finesse.
  • Touraine-chenonceaux: recognized since November 2011, the Touraine-Chenonceaux appellation is the fruit of the selection of the best terroirs of Touraine. Rare wines that adorn elegance and nobility.
  • Coteaux-du-vendômois: The Coteaux du Vendômois are located in a region which gives a micro climate conducive to the cultivation of the vine. The Chenin and Pinot Aunis grapes, which are particularly fond of these terroirs, give the wines a very original typicity.
You always find Coteaux-d’ancenis, Muscadet-sèvre-et-maine, Anjou-villages-brissac et Coteaux-de-l’aubance, Bonnezeaux, Savennières, Saumur-champigny, Saumur brut fines bulles, Chinon, Saint-nicolas-de-bourgueil, Vouvray, Touraine-mesland, Jasnières et Coteaux-du-loir, Haut Poitou Val de Loire.
